Tasting experience: easy drinking cup with notes of red apple, dark brown sugar, plum and peach
Country: Colombia
Continent: South America
Farm/Lot: Planadas, Pride Coffee Fundación
Roast: Medium (Full City)
Process: Washed
Varietal: F8, Castillo, Caturra
Pride Coffee is a sweet and wildly lovable washed coffee with notes of milk chocolate, caramel, and snickerdoodle. It’s approachable and comforting — but the story behind each sip carries real strength.
This coffee began in 2023 as a project by farmers and partners Paola and Kira in Planadas, Tolima, Colombia. As members of the LGBTQ+ community, they decided to transform their stories — and the story of their territory — through coffee by creating an openly queer coffee co-op.
It’s since grown into something much bigger: a cause, a voice, and a community. Through coffee farming, Pride Coffee has become a path toward inclusion, resilience, dignity, and visibility for people who have too often been pushed to the margins.
The spirit of this coffee is joyful and deeply human. It reminds us that specialty coffee is not just about flavor notes, processing methods, or origin stories. It’s about people — their courage, labor, creativity, and their right to be seen.
To us, supporting Pride Coffee means supporting the belief that everyone deserves belonging, opportunity, and the chance to build something beautiful from their own story. We’re proud to carry this coffee and share it with you.
